Doug Durrenberger receives Leopard Award

Doug Durrenberger, Kirby Library Assistant, has received the Leopard Award, a monetary prize presented to Lafayette support staff who have made an exceptional contribution to the College beyond their normal job responsibilities.

Doug has provided crucial assistance in the Library’s attempts to re-work technical services workflow. He has been on the forefront of testing and developing new methods of handling and processing library materials, using Kirby Library as a laboratory and then transferring those processes over to Skillman. When presented with a challenge, Doug makes things work, with a cheerful disposition and can-do attitude. From mastering macros to getting legacy systems to communicate with new hardware, Doug has become the “go to” guy. The Library is proud that the College has chosen to recognize Doug with this award.
